Ol Gaboli - Laikipia, Kenya
Laikipia is serene, wildlife-rich, and rarely crowded. Elephants drift to drink at the Ewaso Nyiro River, reticulated giraffes browse acacia canopies, endangered Grevy’s zebras graze the plains, and even elusive black leopards slip through shadows.
At its heart is Ol Gaboli Lodge, the only all-Maasai, women-owned safari lodge in Kenya, perched riverside beneath a majestic fig tree. Each of its five handcrafted bandas offers ensuite comfort, private terraces, and excellent service.
Run by the Ol Gaboli Women’s Group, the lodge encourages unhurried walking safaris and game drives, allowing guests time to fully immerse in the environment. Every guest staying at the lodge puts vital investment back into local community.
